What types of clothes should I bring?

We recommend bringing comfortable clothing. You can refer to the respective retreat page to know more about things to bring and not to bring as well as how to prepare for the retreat.

Is the retreat ADA-friendly?

Most of our retreat locations are chosen keeping the ADA regulations in mind. However, since the retreats are held at third-party locations, certain facilities may have some restrictions. Please contact us to know the specifics of ADA compliance for specific retreats.

I am Vegan and/or have dietary restrictions/allergies, will you be able to accommodate my needs?

Absolutely! Please let us know about any dietary restrictions/food allergies in the retreat wellness questionnaire. In case we have any concerns about being able to handle your needs, we will inform you upfront.

What is the procedure to get a private room?

Coquihalla fosters a community-centered approach to healing. Yes, everyone at the retreat shares a room with someone (unless there is an exceptional circumstance).  We pair people based on their gender, to ensure everyone is comfortable during their stay with us.

Is this a religious retreat?

While our philosophies are derived from Yog, a discipline that originated in ancient India, our retreat neither follows nor promotes any one religion.

Do I need to be a yoga practitioner to join?

No, you don’t! Coquihalla is a self-healing journey that is open to any and everyone wanting to reinvent themselves. While it can help to know a little about asanas, you will be assisted by our expert Yogacharyas through all the practices as per your individual needs.

Do you offer anything other than regular classes?

The Coquihalla experience is a harmonious fusion of mindful activities. During your stay with us, you will get to partake in various activities like sound baths, full moon meditation, a cacao ceremony that is a part of opening rituals and a closing ceremony.

What type of classes are offered?

At Coquihalla, we offer a combination of theory and practical classes. During Samvad (theory sessions), we discuss various Yogic theories while during Abhayasa (practical sessions) we practice asanas, pranayamas, chanting, mudras, meditation, and kriyas. This also includes sound bath meditation sessions.
